Tom G. de Bruin, DDS, was born and raised in Livermore, CA, and is a second-generation dentist. He received his bachelor's degree in biology and chemistry from CSU Sacramento and is a graduate of the highly regarded program at the University of the Pacific School of Dentistry in San Francisco. He maintains professional membership in the American Dental Association, Nevada Dental Association, Northern Nevada Dental Society, and Academy of General Dentistry.
Because he is passionate about perfecting beautiful smiles, Dr. de Bruin invests extensive time each year in ongoing education so he can help you achieve the smile of a lifetime with the best, most comfortable techniques possible. He has received advanced training at the Las Vegas Institute for Advanced Dental Studies (LVI) and several other prestigious institutes, with a concentration on cosmetic dentistry, orthodontics, and the treatment of myofacial pain, TMJ/TMD, snoring/sleep apnea/compromised breathing, and related disorders. He is one of the few dentists in the Reno/Tahoe area with this select area of training. He has most recently engaged in continuing education on the topic of ideal facial development for kids and adults, so he can help his patients obtain a better airway and optimal facial esthetics.
Dr. de Bruin enjoys spending time with his wife Tricia and their three children in the beautiful Reno/Tahoe area. They are active outdoor enthusiasts, participating in watersports, mountain biking, snowboarding, and beach volleyball.
